Being Attentive

I have issues with being attentive. Well, let me phrase it this way: I'm whole heartedly attentive in some areas while other important areas that need my attention sometimes lack. I'm an all or nothing sort of girl. This type of personality can produce results while neglecting important things all at the same time.

So, God has been working on my heart to be attentive to that which is most important. For me, it would line up like this:

-Giving God the first part of my day.
-Making sure my husband doesn't get left overs, instead he receives the affection from me he deserves.
-Looking at my kids when they talk and putting the computer/phone away to listen.
-Doing my part in serving others through ministry.

Often times, I get the four sideways and upside down, but my heart is to strive for order. I'm no superwoman, but I am learning that God will give me the supernatural ability to deposit into the relationships in my life.

We've got to get it right in our relationships (often times it is the one's at home) before we can get it right at anything else.

Good word. Lately, I've been thinking what is stopping me from being the person I want to be? The person I am meant to be? It's me, I am stopping myself, limiting God and not letting Him work. It is so easy to get wrapped up in day-to-day tasks.

You are right, "Stylish Housewife". I think when we give attention to what is really important God will cause our plans to succeed.
