From Cindy Beall's Blog Post

I like this blog post so much I wanted to share it with you. This is written by Cindy Beall at cindybeall.com

"I’d like to share a small section of Wayne Cordeiro’s book Leading on Empty with you. It impacted me. It’s lengthy, but worth it. Here’s what he writes:
Nearing the time of a possible second burnout, I had a poignant dream of a man and his family who ran a small farm. In this dream, people were buying various products: one bought a gallon of milk, another ripe tomatoes, another cheese, others eggs or corn.
A lady came and asked for something they didn’t have, but the farmer simply said, “Come back tomorrow, and I’ll have more.” The irate woman gave the farmer a sour look, but it didn’t bother him. He just went back to work. That was how it was on the farm. The chickens can lay only so many eggs a day, cows have just so much fresh milk, and a few more tomatoes will ripen tomorrow.
Yet people still came, standing in line for the products, buying up everything until the farmer sold out for the day. This happened every day because this particular farm’s goods were the freshest and finest anywhere. And when they ran out (as they inevitably did), the farmer would say, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll have more.”
I woke up from that dream with a new view of life and ministry. I don’t have to tie myself to an imaginary, unrelenting cycle to produce more, make more, or try to outdo last weeks’ numbers. I have just so much time in the day, and I want to do what I can with all my heart involved. When the clock runs out, then I say, “Come back tomorrow, and I’ll have more.”
All I have to say is wow. That makes so much sense to me. I give way too much of myself to others because I feel some sort of ridiculous responsibility to help the world and every marriage in it. While I certainly believe God has called me to walk such a journey, I can only do so much. I am only one woman. And at the end of the day, if there is a toss up between ministry getting the best of me or my family getting the best of me, my family will always win.
Always.
I highly encourage you to read this book. We’ll all experience burnout at some point in our life. This book will help you before that happens.
It might even prevent it."

Take the Plunge

I think about so many heros in the Bible that made gigantic impacts on the the world around them, Abraham, Deborah, Joshua, Paul... the list is endless. What extra-ordinary talent did they posses that others didn't? Probably none, I think they were just ordinary. However, what they did posses was a faith that moved the heart of God.

In my world I desire to make a gigantic impact. I imagine you do as well. But living a significant life and being used by God comes with risk. No doubt, there is commitment and faith on our part. I am constantly dreaming of what God is going to do in my family, my life and my church. I can't wait to see it! And I know it will take me jumping off the safety of the ground and risking it all to follow Him. I have weighed the cost, considered the time it will take and for me, there is no looking back!

Why don't you take the plunge as well? Maybe it's something like leading a life group or giving a car away. Perhaps God is telling you to mend a relationship or write a book. Whatever it is, as you obey, He will take you to places you never dreamed you could go!!!

Have fun World Changers!

The Sand

"I made the sand a boundary for the sea, an everlasting barrier it cannot cross. The waves may roll, but they cannot prevail; they may roar, but they cannot cross it." Jeremiah 5:22

Are you facing a roaring, rolling situation that is seemingly going to crash over you? Be encouraged that though it may be intimidating with its loud roar and large rolling waves, God has made a boundary around you by the Blood of Jesus that Satan cannot cross. And that boundary is EVERLASTING! Your situation may look bigger than you, but your God is bigger than it! It will not prevail against you!!

Enjoy life in God's peace today. Jesus' Blood Line covers you!!

(and yes, that's my cutie pie in the picture!)

He's Calling You

Acts 26:17
"I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me."

God is calling out to the daughters of this generation, no matter your age, to bring light to those in darkness. The daughter's of God are responding. The quiet whisper is becoming a roar. Will you be among them? He is calling for YOU!

A Brick in One Hand and a Sword in the Other

From the beginning of the book of Nehemiah, God called him to rebuilt the Jerusalem walls. They had been torn down by war. A huge task to say the least! Nehemiah gathered families and each family took sections of the wall to rebuild. These men were equipped to handle a brick in one hand and a sword in the other. It would have certainly been easier to use both hands for building but they weren't afforded that luxury. They had opposition that came against what God had called them to do. They were focused on the task of rebuilding, but knew they would have to fight an enemy to get the job done.

You and I are called to build a church or a family or our life. One that stands up for righteousness and brings back honor to God. This is no easy task. We don't have to be perfect, yet we must be willing. Willing to get dirty and sweaty, put bricks in our hands and work. Also willing to stay alert and swing a sword against our enemy. (You know we are great multi-taskers!)

Focus on what God is asking you to build today and do it with all your might. Be aware of the enemy who wants to take you out by discouragement. He might break forth the flood gates of hell against your vision but do not fear! The blood of Jesus has made a blood line that the enemy ultimately cannot cross.

Swing your sword with confidence girls!!
