You're Gonna Make It!!

As I was reading the One Year Bible last night God made this word come alive to me:
Lamentations 3:19
"I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall (Your present issues or issues you have faced) . I WELL remember them (I love that! Sometimes it's hard to forget those very painful things) and my soul is downcast within me. (Here comes the hope) Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have HOPE: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
The writer is telling us to look back at the things we have faced and remember the faithfulness of God, how He got you through with his compassion and mercy, therefore when the new issues arise we will be able to say: "I will not be consumed for great is your faithfulness!"
*parenthesis mine! :)

Australia this July

Casey and I went to the land down under this July for the Hillsong Conference. It was a long trip there but well worth it. The worship was incredible...thousands of people singing simultaneously to one God and the energy was off the charts. We got to meet a lot of great people and had fun with many of our friends but I was ever so glad to come back to the great USA!!! (of course Casey had to represent LSU even in Aussie. note the shirt)

India this summer

My favorite trip all year was by far my trip with Ellen and Spencer Beach to India. We went to three cities while there, Mumbia, Kulkatta, & Delhi. The purpose of the trip for me was to connect with ministries that are focusing on the human trafficking and orphan issues there in India. These subjects are both huge passions of mine so the trip was such an honor for me to be apart of. Sex slavery is rampant in India (like so many other countries) and the need is great. I had the privilege of visiting several orphanages (including one with all AIDS children), attending a church service for prostitutes (really they're slaves, they didn't choose this life) and several rescue homes for the women and children that have been brought out of the brothels. Probably the most memorable of all was my visit to the slums in Delhi. Pastor Koshy and Josey Baby recently built a community center that will provide school to the children of the slums. Recently one of the slum children died and we visited his family in the poorest area I have ever witnessed. We prayed over them and I was able to share a little of my story about Haven to the mom and encourage her that she will see her son again one day! Wow, for me that was the pinnacle!! Before my trip to India I thought I would come back discouraged because of all the poverty and need, but on the contrary. I came back full of passion and excitement because I saw great ministries that were truly making a difference in the lives of their community. These people will forever be in my heart and I am proud that we will do whatever we can to help them as a church.  Really great trip. Can't wait to go again. Okay, okay enough for now.

London this May

I had the awesome opportunity to go to the Hillsong Women's Conference this May with a great group of women. Sandy Moreno, Darla Haas, Rebecca S. and Michelle Bezet all from New Life Church. The conference was inspiring and London's food was yummy! What I got most out of it was the heart for women to be empowered and encouraged. Loved it and love Hillsong's heart!

Live the Dream Women's Conference at Healing Place Church

Last week I took the KPC staff ladies down to Baton Rouge for a women's conference. This is not just any conference, they know how to hit it out the park. I was so proud for Delynn Rizzo and her team for such a huge success! April Simons and Chris Cain spoke and did an incredible job. I love seeing other women being bold and walking in their calling unashamed! Of course we shopped, can you go on a trip with me and not? The highlight was all of us eating Greek and Lebanese food, my favorite!! Made lots of memories and I think everyone was stretched to see where God wants to bring us!

Imagine Retreat

Oct. 17th was our Imagine Women's Retreat. It was a huge success. I was so proud to see how so many women came together to make it fantastic! Monica M.and Mendy R. did a great job with worship. (Thanks Jason H. and Joel B. for sticking it out with so much estrogen in the room! We couldn't have done it without you.) Shanna M. and Jannel H. did a great job speaking along with Gennessa N. and Carla H. sharing their testimonies. I never made it down to the pamper room but I heard it was awesome. Too bad because I needed a massage that day!! It was so fulfilling to me seeing women connecting with each other and connecting with Jesus. Good things are ahead for KPC Women. Don't forget Chandelier of Gifts,  Nov. 11th at my home.
Lots of Love,
Stacy
